St. Regis
Cap Cana
Original works by Dominican artists, reproduced in museum-grade giclée for the public areas of one of the world's most exclusive brands.
Local identity for a global brand
Ultra-luxury brands don't decorate: they tell a story of place. For its public areas, St. Regis Cap Cana wanted art with authentic Dominican identity, without compromising the fidelity and permanence standards Marriott International demands.
The answer wasn't in a generic imported catalog, but in the art already being made in the country.
The reproduction the artists themselves chose
The hotel commissioned and licensed the works directly with each Dominican artist. With those agreements already in place, the artists themselves entrusted our workshop with the most delicate part: reproducing their work in giclée with archival pigment inks, at the color fidelity an original demands.
There is no better quality control than that: the person who paints the original decides who reproduces it. Every reproduction left our workshop worthy of that trust.
When an artist entrusts you with reproducing their own work, they set the standard. Our job was for the giclée to do justice to the original.
Local art, international scale
Working with local artists lets internationally branded hotels bring authentic Dominican identity into their spaces. In this case the hotel negotiated directly with each artist; our workshop answered for what it does best: making sure the reproduction lived up to the work.
Does your property want to tell its place?
We develop art programs with a local narrative (curation of Dominican artists, museum-grade giclée production and custom framing) for hotels and resorts that want their spaces to say where they are.
Want art with local identity in your hotel? We curate, produce and install, under a single contract.
